Job summary

Emerus in Wisconsin is seeking a registered nurse to join the Emergency Room team, delivering age-appropriate, high-quality care.

You will document thoroughly, follow physician orders, protect patient privacy, and participate in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care.

Requirements: Associate’s Degree (BSN preferred), current RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, English fluency; PA candidates must meet Act 33/73 before start.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years ER or equivalent experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; TNCC preferred.
• English fluency required; written and verbal communication.
• PA candidates: Act 33 and Act 73 completed or obtained before start date.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize and provide age-appropriate nursing care in the ER.
• Document accurately and legibly in medical records.
• Observe and record signs, symptoms and patient status.
• Follow physician orders in delivering nursing care.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Collect lab samples and perform testing per policy.
• Adhere to infection control and aseptic techniques.
• Manage admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Assemble equipment for procedures and support care delivery.
