Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of recent acute care ED nursing experience.
• Associate degree or nursing diploma required; BSN preferred.
• Florida RN license or active multistate compact license; transfer within 90 days if out-of-state.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Strong critical-thinking and clear communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct emergency nursing care using the full nursing process.
• Perform rapid assessment and continuous monitoring in a high-acuity setting.
• Exercise independent clinical judgment within scope of practice.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Incorporate current research and best practices into care decisions.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge steps.
• Report safety concerns or errors per protocol.
• Engage in peer support and contribute to team competency.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
