Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit seeks a Registered Nurse - Regional Float to provide direct patient care across multiple units including ED, inpatient floors, and specialty units. The role requires strong assessment skills, clinical judgment, and the ability to rapidly orient to new environments within the float pool.

You will work day and night shifts as scheduled, participate in care planning, document meticulously, and collaborate with nursing leadership to support quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (preferred).
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Two years of recent ER nursing experience.
• Current Michigan RN licensure (as applicable).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across units in the float pool.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and identify potential complications.
• Communicate with patients, families, and care team for coordinated care.
• Orient quickly to multiple units and care protocols within the pool.
• Document assessments and interventions accurately per standards.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to support quality improvements.
• Work assigned day and night shifts as scheduled.
