Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Float Pool on a 36-hour variable schedule. This role requires RN licensure in Michigan and BSN is preferred; you'll be assigned to med/surg, stepdown, observation, or ICU units and enjoy flexible self-scheduling.

You will lead in coordinating patient care, use the nursing process, communicate with the care team, and advocate for patients and families while delivering safe, goal-oriented care.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred and graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to plan effective nursing care.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
• Utilizes the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to deliver and document care.
• Communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team.
• Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and implements them.
• Acts as a patient advocate while delivering goal-focused, safe, age-appropriate care.
