Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Emergency Department System Float to provide direct patient care across multiple units in a flexible staffing pool. This contingent role supports ED operations with midnights shifts and the ability to float to diverse locations within the system.

The ideal candidate has a nursing degree, at least two years of clinical experience, and current licensure in Michigan, along with BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Minimum two years of related clinical nursing experience.
Willingness to float to multiple locations within the health system.
Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care across units and develop nursing care plans.
Perform comprehensive assessments and identify changes before deterioration.
Communicate with patients, families, and inter-disciplinary team to ensure coordinated care.
Orient rapidly to different units within the float pool and adapt care protocols.
Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
