Job summary

YRMC, now part of CommonSpirit Health, invites a dedicated Emergency Services Nurse to join our team. You will assess patients with urgent medical needs, prioritize care, and collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and social workers to ensure timely, high-quality care across the ER.

Applicants must have an Associate's degree in Nursing (or equivalent), 1 year of acute care RN experience, and active Arizona RN licensure with ACLS/BLS/ALPS.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree of Nursing (or foreign equivalent) is required.
• 1 year acute care RN experience is required.
• Valid compact state or Arizona RN license is required.
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certificate required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate required.
• American Heart Association Advanced Pediatric Life Support (ALPS) certificate required.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course within 1 year is required.
• Demonstrates competency in basic EKG skills via test or basic EKG class/modules within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Use emergency triage protocol to intake, discharge, or admit patients.
• Deliver stabilizing care to emergency patients of all ages as part of the ER team.
• Adapt care to changes in patient condition as needed.
• Document the nursing care plan and changes in the patient's condition.
• Engage in activities that benefit patient outcomes such as patient experience initiatives and mentoring.
