Job summary

Heart Hospital of Austin, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to lead patient-centered care on the unit during shifts. You will collaborate with the management team to monitor quality, coordinate nursing care, and model the organization’s mission and values.

Responsibilities include admissions/discharges, staff development, scheduling, and inventory oversight, with a focus on safe, efficient throughput and exceptional patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• RN license in Texas is required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required or to be obtained per timeline.
• ENPC and TNCC certifications preferred or to be obtained within specified periods.
• NIH Stroke Scale training or certification readiness.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure throughput and high-quality care.
• Monitors and evaluates nursing care in collaboration with management.
• Collaborates to create teamwork environments that improve outcomes.
• Supports patient-first philosophy and service recovery as needed.
• Implements nursing strategies to improve engagement and rounds.
• Recommends staff interviewing, training, and performance actions.
• Assists with staff scheduling and productivity.
• Supports inventory control and supplies management.
