Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital, an Emergency Department operated by Universal Health Services (UHS), seeks an ED Technician to support nurses and physicians. You will ensure oxygen tanks, stock supplies, and transport patients as needed, aiding assessments and treatments to maintain efficient patient flow.

Essential duties include documenting patient care in the ED system, handling telephone communications, and coordinating with ancillary departments.

Qualifications

• EMT, CNA, or Medical Assistant (Required).
• BLS (Issued by American Heart Association) (Required).
• Basic dysrhythmia certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Current Phlebotomy certification - State of California preferred.
• CPI Certification obtained within first 90 days of employment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Telephone, typing, and filing skills.
• Basic computer systems
• Basic knowledge of nursing care terminology and functions.

Responsibilities

• Reports and documents in the emergency department information system patient care performed such as vital signs, bedside care, and observations.
• Provides telephone services, including answering and directing calls, giving information, paging physicians, safety codes, and returning calls.
• Notifies ancillary departments of need for patient services in a timely and appropriate manner.
