Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Patient Observer for the Emergency Department in Boston. You will provide constant observation to patients identified as a risk, under RN direction, and assist with related care tasks while maintaining confidentiality and following hospital guidelines.

This on-site role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, some healthcare experience preferred, and offers night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am with a 24-hour weekly schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No.
• Some healthcare experience 0-1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant observation of patient.
• Document the care of patient under observation.
• Keep nurse informed of changes in the patient's condition.
• Assist patient in the event of a fall.
• Receives and provides detailed handoff information from/to staff regarding the patient and their status.
• Assist with feeding patient as directed by the RN.
