Job summary

Emerus is seeking a Registered Nurse for our 10-bed Emergency Department in Rigsby, Texas. This full-time night-shift position emphasizes assessing, planning, directing and evaluating patient care in the ER.

You'll document thoroughly, monitor vitals, follow physician orders, collect lab samples, and uphold infection control. The role includes admissions, discharges and transfers, teamwork with staff, and maintaining patient privacy. Requires RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and English communication.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree, required; BSN preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse, required.
• 2+ years full-time RN experience in ER or similar setting, required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association or Red Cross, required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize and provide age-specific nursing care in the ER.
• Document medical records accurately and legibly.
• Observe and record signs, symptoms and patient status.
• Follow physician orders and administer nursing interventions.
• Collect lab samples and perform testing per policies.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Perform admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Assemble equipment and assist procedures in the ER.
