Job summary

SnapCare is seeking an RN for the Emergency Department in Longview, TX. The role requires licensure in TX or a compact license and offers 12-hour night shifts (8:00 PM–8:00 AM). The position is full-time, with a 3-day work week and a weekend rotation over six weeks.

Preferred candidates will have BSN and 1 year of related nursing experience. The ED provides comprehensive emergency care with structured onboarding and ongoing competency programs.

Qualifications

• RN license in TX or compact license.
• 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation) for assigned patients.
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols; monitor side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Address complex psychosocial, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed.

• Practice independently in the Emergency Department, providing routine and complex patient care
• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols and monitor for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA only), ACLS (AHA only), PALS (AHA only), TNCC
