Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital, part of Universal Health Services, seeks an Emergency Department RN to perform timely assessments and therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient’s clinical presentation, age and cultural needs in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications include one year of Emergency or Critical Care experience in an acute care facility, a valid California RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, NIHSS within 5 days, CPI within 90 days, and CEN encouraged.

Qualifications

• One (1) year Emergency or Critical Care experience in an acute care facility.
• Registered Nurse with current California RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA) certifications required.
• NIHSS required within first week (5 days) of hire.
• CEN encouraged
• CPI certified within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• The Emergency Department Registered Nurse performs assessments appropriate to the patient’s clinical presentation/diagnosis, care setting, age, development level, and cultural and religious orientation in a timely manner.
• Performs assessments completely and accurately including pain, skin breakdown, risk for falls, cognitive and communicative skills, and other patient needs.
