Job summary

Confidential in Lewiston, Maine is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for an Emergency Department role. The assignment runs 12 weeks with Day and Night shifts, offering gross weekly pay between $1,680 and $2,100 and hourly rates around $40–$50.

Expect bedside care, vital signs monitoring, and collaboration with RNs and physicians in a fast-paced ED. The role requires an active LPN/LVN license, IV and BW certifications, current BLS, and at least one year of ED experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.
• IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification required.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• One (1) year ED experience required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver bedside care in a high-volume emergency setting.
• Monitor vital signs, patient condition, and acuity changes.
• Assist with medication administration, IV therapy, and blood draws.
• Support trauma, triage, and emergency interventions.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and care teams.
• Ensure patient safety, infection control, and ED protocols.
• Document care in EMR/EHR systems.
• Communicate changes in condition quickly and accurately.
