Job summary

Intermountain Health's Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Float Pool RN. This role floats to ED and other acute care areas, providing critical support in fast-paced settings and collaborating with trauma teams and physicians to deliver timely, evidence-based care.

Minimum qualifications include current RN license, BSN, and at least one year of RN experience with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• RN license in state of practice (or compact license transfer).
• Minimum one year RN experience in acute care.
• BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.
• BSN is required per job posting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in emergency care environments.
• Perform rapid patient assessments, prioritize care, and initiate interventions.
• Recognize and respond quickly to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, technicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide care to patients with a wide range of illnesses, injuries, and emergency conditions.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
• Adapt quickly to varying workflows, patient volumes, and acuity levels while maintaining quality and safety standards.
