Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) invites motivated veterinarians to join the New ER Doctor (NERD) program. This six‑month, immersive training transforms practicing vets into confident VEG ER doctors through hands‑on cases, mentorship, and advanced CE.

Participants engage in real ER work with VEG clinicians, gain 160+ CE hours, and receive competitive compensation and benefits. Relocation for placement may be required.

Qualifications

• A passion for helping people and their pets.
• Desire to live and breathe emergency medicine.
• Be a practicing veterinarian for 1+ years.
• Valid license to practice veterinary medicine and DEA registration in the start state.

Responsibilities

• Learn emergency medicine through hands-on, mentored ER cases.
• Attend 160+ hours of RACE-approved CE during the program.
• Relocation for the NERD program may be required.
