Job summary

HCA Florida Largo Hospital is seeking an ER Discharge Coordinator to support bedside scheduling as part of our centralized ER and Urgent Care Follow-up programs. The role focuses on creating a positive patient experience with timely follow-up and improved overall care coordination.

You will ensure high-quality customer service and align with departmental policies while promoting the hospital’s services and engaging with leadership as needed.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Speaks with customers, patients and stakeholders in a pleasant and professional manner; Communicates appropriately and clearly with department leadership, co-workers and customers/patients.
• Will schedule patients for follow-up care bedside when appropriate.
• Ensures performance and quality standards are met.
• Provides superior customer service to internal and external customers and patients; Supports the vision and strategy of the organization, positively promotes the services offered, and elevates issues to leadership as appropriate.
• Suggests ideas for positive changes to department policies and procedures.
