Job summary

MercyOne Health System in Dubuque, IA is hiring a Nurse Assistant to join the patient care team. Under supervision of a registered nurse, NAs assist with activities of daily living and provide compassionate, holistic care in alignment with MercyOne's mission.

The role supports 36 hours per week (0.9 FTE) on the Day shift, with weekend and holiday rotation. Prioritize safety, teamwork, and patient comfort in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Must meet at least one of the following: CNA 75-hour course, EMT certification, registry, or military medical specialty.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Mandatory Reporter Training for Child and Dependent Adult Abuse within 6 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire and every 2 years thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Provide holistic, compassionate, individualized care under RN supervision.
• Support clinical workflows and safety protocols.
