The role requires 2–5 years of acute care RN experience, BSN, California RN license, and current BLS certification. Prior Charge Nurse experience is preferred for PACU candidates, with CN III readiness within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support nursing staff during assigned shifts to ensure safe, high‑quality patient care.
• Coordinate staffing assignments, patient flow and unit operations.
• Serve as a clinical expert, mentor, and resource for nurses and interdisciplinary team.
• Promote patient‑centered care and exceptional patient experience.
• Round on patients and families, address concerns, and communicate care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and hospital leadership to optimize throughput.
• Facilitate admissions, transfers, and discharges while supporting capacity initiatives.
• Lead shift huddles and participate in bed management and unit meetings.
• Ensure compliance with documentation, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
