Job summary

HCA Florida Poinciana Hospital is seeking a CNC Emergency Room Clinical Nurse Coord to lead patient care in our busy ED. You will coordinate nursing services, supervise staff, and partner with leaders to ensure high-quality, efficient care during your shift.

The role requires RN licensure, ACLS/BLS, NIH Stroke Scale and other certifications within specified timeframes, with a focus on patient safety, throughput, and collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• ACLS certification within 30 days of start date.
• BLS certification within 30 days of start date.
• NIH Stroke Scale within 90 days of start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 90 days of start date.
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 30 days of start date.
• RN (Registered Nurse) credential.
• Registered Nurse Diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit in collaboration with management.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and managers to foster teamwork and improved outcomes.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Supports nursing strategies including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives to engage staff.
• Provides recommendations on interviewing, selecting, and training new staff; supports performance evaluations and actions.
• Assists with staff scheduling and labor management according to patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Assists with inventory control and helps manage supplies and equipment.
