Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress seeks an Emergency Room Clinical Nurse Coordinator (RN) to lead nursing care delivery in a high-volume ED and mentor staff across multiple affiliated centers. This frontline leadership role blends bedside expertise with shift operations, patient throughput coordination, and clinical mentorship within a 24/7 emergency network.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma/Associate/Bachelor).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Texas RN license or Multi-State Compact with TX license within 90 days of hire.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS from American Heart Association required.
• TNCC within 6 months of hire date.
• 1 year of clinical ER experience as an RN in hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management and reassess after interventions.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other orders; document care in the medical record promptly.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and proactively anticipate needs.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the condition, treatment plan, medications, and follow-up measures.
• Educate on non-medicinal follow-up measures and prepare for future self-management.
