Henrico Doctors' Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator for the Emergency Department to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and direct nursing activities on the shift. The CNC collaborates with the management team to monitor, evaluate care, and model the organization’s values for an outstanding patient experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
• Current RN VA license or compact multistate license.
• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• Required 1 year of emergency room experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and managers to create teamwork for improved outcomes.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Operates nursing strategies like employee rounding and hourly rounds to improve engagement.
• Provides recommendations related to interviewing, staffing, training, and performance actions.
• Assists with staff scheduling and manages labor in line with patient care needs.
• Supports inventory control and assists with managing supplies and equipment.
