Job summary

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to lead nursing care and coordination on the designated shift. You will work with the management team to direct, monitor, and evaluate care, serving as a resource for staff and upholding the organization’s mission and patient experience.

The role builds a patient-first environment with collaborative teamwork, focusing on throughput, quality of care, and staff development.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license (or compact) required.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred.
• Minimum 1 year Emergency Room RN experience.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
• PALS and/or ENPC certifications required within 6 months of hire.
• NIHSS and TNCC certifications required within 6 months of hire.
• CPI training required within 6 months of hire.
• National Board Certification (CEN or CPEN) highly preferred.
• Strong critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee admission and discharge processes to ensure throughput and care quality.
• Monitor and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with the management team.
• Collaborate with SMEs and managers to improve outcomes and service.
• Support a patient-first philosophy and service recovery as needed.
• Assist in implementing nursing strategies (hourly rounds, rounds) to boost engagement.
• Provide guidance on interviewing, training, and staff development.
• Assist with staff scheduling and labor management to meet patient care needs.
• Support inventory control and equipment/supply management.
