HCA Florida Brandon Hospital in Brandon, FL is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care across the unit during the shift. The CNC will direct nursing care, mentor staff, and uphold organizational values to support outstanding outcomes and patient experience.

The role requires an FL RN license (or compact), 1 year ER RN experience, and active BLS; ACLS, PALS/ENPC, NIHSS/TNCC, and CPI training within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse or valid compact license with active FL RN license within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum one year ER RN experience.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• PALS and/or ENPC certifications required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• NIHSS and TNCC certifications required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• CPI training required within 6 months grace period.
• National Board Certification (CEN or CPEN) highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes for efficient throughput and quality care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of quality of patient care in the unit.
• Collaborates with managers to foster teamwork and better outcomes.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and service recovery.
• Implements nursing strategies to improve engagement and rounds initiatives.
• Oversees interviewing, selection, and training of new staff; guides performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Assists with staff scheduling to meet patient care needs.
• Manages inventory control and supplies/equipment.
