Job summary

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator for the FishHawk ER site, opening early 2027. The CNC will lead nursing care, coordinate admission/discharge, and drive quality outcomes, reporting to the management team within a patient-first environment.

Ideal candidates have RN licensure in Florida, ER experience, and current BLS/ACLS, with additional PALS/ENPC and NIHSS/TNCC credentials preferred. BSN is preferred; CPI training required within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license or compact license with active FL RN within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum one year ER RN experience required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• PALS/ENPC certifications required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• NIHSS and TNCC certifications required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• CPI training required within 6 month grace period of hire date.
• National Board Certification (CEN or CPEN) highly preferred.
• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality patient-centered care.
• Participate in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services.
• Collaborate with managers to create a teamwork-oriented environment.
• Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
• Operationalize nursing strategies to improve engagement (rounding, hourly rounds).
• Provide recommendations on interviewing, training, and performance evaluations; support discipline as needed.
• Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor according to patient care needs.
• Support inventory control and management of supplies and equipment.
