Job summary

HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to ensure high quality, patient-centered care and to coordinate unit activities during the assigned shift. You will direct nursing care, serve as a resource for staff, and align with policies to support excellent clinical outcomes.

Qualifications

• RN license is required to practice as a registered nurse.
• Registered Nurse Diploma demonstrates nursing education credentials.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be completed within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit, in collaboration with management.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Operationalizes nursing strategies to improve engagement, including hourly rounds and staff rounding initiatives.
• Provides recommendations on interviewing, selecting, and training staff; supports performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
