The ER tech at Wabash General Hospital in Mount Carmel, IL, provides essential patient care to maintain cleanliness, safety, and comfort for patients of all ages, while supporting nursing staff with routine tasks.

Responsibilities include obtaining vital signs, monitoring inputs/outputs, assisting with ambulation and dressings, and aiding with admissions and transfers on the nursing unit using the Epic EMR. The role also covers clerical duties and patient registration as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• CNA certification preferred but not required.
• Previous hospital experience preferred but not required.
• Must be able to work any day of the week including holidays and weekends.

Responsabilités

• Provides basic patient care to promote cleanliness, safety, and comfort for all patient ages.
• Obtains vital signs and monitors patient intake and outputs.
• Assists with ambulation, toileting, dressings, and post-mortem care as directed.
• Notifies RN or physician of changes in patient condition.
• Assists with arranging consults and transfers; handles unit clerical duties and EMR entries.
