Job summary

CHI Health St. Elizabeth in Lincoln, NE is seeking an Emergency Room Tech to support safe, cost-efficient patient care in the ED. You will perform delegated tasks from the RN or physician, assist with transport, and provide clerical support.

The role includes monitoring vital signs, updating the EDTB, helping with patient flow, and communicating with staff and families while upholding safety standards and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED upon hire.
• CPR certification upon hire.
• CNA certification in Nebraska upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care as delegated by the RN/Medical Staff, monitors vital signs and reports changes.
• Provides indirect patient care, escorts patients, documents general measures, transports patients, updates the EDTB.
• Acts as unit clerk, uses hospital systems, discharges patients, enters charges, supports patient flow.
• Communicates with patients, families, physicians and staff in a courteous, professional manner.
• Demonstrates commitment to patients and ED teamwork per performance expectations.
