Job summary

St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, PA is hiring an Emergency Technician to support the ED team with direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision. You will help with procedures, record vital signs, and assist with scheduling and trauma calls.

Ideal candidates hold HS Diploma, BLS, EMT or Medical Assistant cert, or be in nursing program's final year; prior ED experience preferred. Full-time, day shift options available with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS Certification required.
• EMT certification or Medical Assistant certification or nursing program final year in progress.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct and indirect patient care under RN/LPN direction and physician orders.
• Assist with procedures including specimen collection, ostomy care, glucose monitoring, and use of devices.
• Record vital signs and assist with hygiene, feeding, and mobility.
• Perform 12-lead EKGs and phlebotomy as needed.
• Communicate patient status to RN promptly.
• Assist with scheduling diagnostics and consultations.
• Participate in trauma calls and collaborate with team during emergencies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
