Job summary

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic is seeking a part-time Emergency Technician at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, PA. You will support patient care in the Emergency Department under RN/LPN supervision, help maintain equipment, and assist with clinical and clerical operations.

Responsibilities include EKGs, phlebotomy, vital signs, and trauma support, with rotating shifts to meet department needs. Per diem schedule and equal opportunity employment are provided.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS Certification required.
• EMT or Medical Assistant certification required.
• OR is within the final year of a nursing school program.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct and indirect patient care activities per RN/LPN direction.
• Assist with procedures including specimen collection, ostomy care, glucose monitoring, and orthopedic devices.
• Obtain and record vital signs, assist with hygiene, feeding and mobility.
• Perform 12-lead EKGs and phlebotomy procedures.
• Communicate patient status to the RN in a timely manner.
• Assist with scheduling diagnostic procedures, tests, and consultations.
• Participate in trauma calls and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
