Job summary

St. Mary Medical Center – Langhorne, PA is seeking an Emergency Technician to support the Emergency Department under RN/LPN direction.

You will provide direct and indirect patient care, help maintain equipment and supplies, and assist with clinical and clerical operations in a fast-paced environment. This part-time, per diem role offers rotating or mixed shift coverage, on-site parking, and a supportive team focused on compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification is required.
• EMT certification or Medical Assistant certification OR is within the final year of a nursing school program.
• Prior Emergency Technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct and indirect patient care activities in accordance with RN/LPN direction, physician orders, and established policies.
• Assist with procedures including specimen collection, ostomy care, glucose monitoring, and application of orthopedic or protective devices.
• Obtain and record vital signs, assist with patient hygiene, feeding, and mobility support.
• Perform 12-lead EKGs and phlebotomy procedures accurately.
• Communicate patient status and concerns to the Registered Nurse in a timely manner.
• Assist with scheduling diagnostic procedures, tests, and consultations.
• Participate in trauma calls and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members during emergencies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
