Job summary

Mercyhealth seeks qualified healthcare staff to provide patient care, respond to call lights promptly, document care, and maintain a clean environment. The role supports fast-paced ED and inpatient units with stocking, supply management, and paperwork accuracy.

Responsibilities include processing orders, relaying information, assisting with patient transport, and adhering to policies to ensure high-quality care. Advance certification within 90 days is required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Completion of a CNA program or graduation from an ABHES/CAAHEP-accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Graduate of an ABHES/CAAHEP-accredited MA program or postsecondary college program with regional or national accreditation.
• Graduate of an Emergency Medical Technician program or Paramedic program.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care as assigned and per routine, according to standards of care, shift routines, and policies and procedures.
• Answers call lights in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Documents care provided according to standards.
• Maintains a clean work and patient environment.
• Maintains supplies, stocking new supplies and disposing of expired or damaged supplies.
• Processes orders in an accurate and timely manner.
• Answers the telephone and call lights appropriately and provides information or relays messages to patients and staff.
• Transports non-monitored patients to the inpatient units.
