Job summary

NBT is hiring for a loan closing operations role in New York. The position focuses on preparing and funding approved loans, coordinating with closing agents, and maintaining compliant, accurate loan files.

You will validate documents, monitor a document imaging system, and ensure timely communication with customers and internal teams. A background in banking or lending is preferred, with strong organizational and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• 2 years banking or lending experience preferred.
• 2 years in a professional work environment required, preferably within a bank, financial institution, or law office.

Responsibilities

• Engage closing agents to expedite scheduling of closings within service levels.
• Perform post-closing document review to validate completeness before funding.
• Quality control reviews on all closed loans prior to upload and storage.
• Proactively manage missing or incomplete documents and follow up with agents.
• Answer internal and external inquiries with professional communication.
• Other duties as assigned.
