Job summary

Boston Public Schools (BPS) is seeking a Retention Specialist Fellow to support the design and execution of employee retention programs for teachers and staff. This two-year fellowship offers hands‑on experience in data collection, analysis, and event coordination under the Retention Manager.

The role focuses on fostering belonging, reducing turnover, and enhancing workplace culture through mentorship, affinity spaces, and recognition programs in a large urban school district.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required for early career professional role.
• Strong program or project management experience with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Experience developing spreadsheets/reports; proficient with Excel/Google Sheets.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support retention programs, including coaching and onboarding for educators.
• Develop and execute wellness and recognition initiatives aligned with employee engagement goals.
• Plan and logistics for district-wide events and professional development led by the Retention Team.
