Job summary

Qualifications

  • Valid Massachusetts educator license.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Currently employed with Boston Public Schools.
  • Experience delivering standards-aligned instruction and targeted academic support to diverse learners.
  • Knowledge of Tier 2 intervention, MTSS, progress monitoring, and formative/diagnostic assessment data.
  • Ability to analyze multiple sources of student data and translate findings into instructional actions.
  • Knowledge of culturally and linguistically sustaining practices and asset-based approaches.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, organization, documentation, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to participate in required training and use district data systems and intervention tools.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a complete student success profile for every participating student and document progress.
  • Review diagnostic, formative, attendance, engagement, and Early Warning data to identify skills affecting progress.
  • Develop measurable, time-bound intervention goals and plans aligned with standards and MTSS.
  • Ensure intervention plans supplement and accelerate Tier 1 instruction.
  • Provide targeted Tier 2 instruction in small-group or individualized settings.
  • Monitor progress and adjust support based on data.
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and student-support teams.
  • Maintain student records in district data systems (Solara, Panorama).
  • Communicate with families about progress and next steps.
  • Participate in required onboarding and district-wide training; Saturday sessions.
