Job summary

YMCA of Greater Seattle is seeking a dedicated BASE lead instructor to guide elementary-age participants through sports, arts, STEM, and hands-on activities. You will support the program supervisor and foster teamwork and social-emotional learning, ensuring a safe, engaging environment.

The role includes leading the Play Everyday Program at school and working 6:45am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday, with opportunities for full-day programming on non-school days.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• 2+ years of experience with children (camps, child care, tutoring, nannying).
• Ability to model YMCA values: caring, respect, responsibility and honesty.
• Completion of STARS training and CPR/First Aid preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities.
• Supervise children to ensure health and safety.
• Coordinate with staff/volunteers overseeing activities.
• Communicate with parents/guardians professionally.
• Support site operations and program requirements.
