Job summary

City of Austin seeks a Community Services Program Coordinator for the Austin Equity and Inclusion—Equity Division to build cross‑sector partnerships and secure resources for community initiatives.

You will design and evaluate programs, work with City Council and partners, and lead data analysis to guide decisions and reports. This role emphasizes collaboration, training, and ongoing program development to serve diverse communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with related field.
• Experience in developing and managing partnerships across sectors is preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to analyze data and present findings to management.

Responsibilities

• Leads initiatives related to community services and outreach.
• Serves as the primary liaison to City Council, City departments, schools, residents, and stakeholders.
• Collaborates with internal and external partners to improve services and engage the community.
• Arranges staff development and training opportunities related to services.
• Supports short- and long-range planning and policy development.
• Identifies grants and completes applications; researches legislation affecting grants.
