About The Opportunity

The Equity & Executive Benefits Analyst handles the day-to-day operations and administration of the company’s public equity program and Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation (NQDC) plan. This position ensures data accuracy across systems, processes equity transactions, supports annual deferred compensation enrollments, and serves as the primary day-to-day touchpoint for employee and executive inquiries.

Key Responsibilities
Equity Operations & Administration (approx. 60%)
  • Transaction Processing: Execute the daily processing of stock option exercises and RSA vestings, ensuring accurate tax withholding and timely distribution of vested awards.
  • Data & System Maintenance: Perform regular data syncs and reconciliations between the equity platform (e.g., Fidelity) and Workday systems to maintain flawless data integrity.
  • Insider Trading & Section 16 Support: Assist with monitoring trading blackout windows, processing 10b5-1 plan trades, and gathering data to support timely Section 16 Form 4 filings.
  • Participant Education: Respond directly to employee inquiries regarding account setup, vesting schedules, and how to use the stock portal. Help draft clear, user‑friendly communication materials.
Deferred Compensation Support (approx. 30%)
  • Daily Plan Maintenance: Track executive deferral elections, process distribution events, and run routine audits on participant accounts with Newport, the third‑party NQDC recordkeeper.
  • Open Enrollment Execution: Provide hands‑on support during the annual deferred compensation enrollment window—testing the enrollment portal, distributing communication toolkits, and tracking employee submission status.
  • Compliance Checks: Review deferral and distribution data against plan documents to ensure operational alignment with IRC Section 409A regulations.
Reporting & Audit Support (approx. 10%)
  • Generate routine and ad‑hoc reports for Finance, HR and Payroll teams, including equity data needed for monthly accounting and tax reporting.
  • Assist with quarterly SOX control testing and provide documentation for internal and external auditors.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience in equity administration, ideally within a publicly traded company. Experience supporting deferred compensation or executive benefits plans is a major plus.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Human Resources, Business, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Certifications: Progress toward or completion of the Certified Equity Professional (CEP) Level 1 or 2 is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with equity administration platforms (Fidelity, Shareworks, E*TRADE, etc.) and HRIS systems. Strong Excel skills are critical (must be comfortable with pivot tables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, and data audits).
  • Communication & Discretion: Exceptional attention to detail and a customer‑service mindset when helping employees. Must possess the professionalism and discretion required to handle sensitive executive data.
Additional Information:

Any offer of employment may be contingent upon the successful completion of job‑related post‑offer requirements, which may include background checks, reference checks, and/or other screenings or examinations as permitted by applicable law.
