Job summary

Tundra Technical Solutions is seeking a contract engineer to evaluate program and project requirements, develop equipment concepts, and design solutions for the Production System. You will compile data, analyze effects on product engineering design and rate estimates, and ensure safety, usability, and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes automation and robotics experience, cross‑functional collaboration, and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree from an accredited program in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate program and project requirements, develop complex equipment concepts and design solutions for the Production System.
• Compile and analyze technical data to determine effects on product engineering design, usability, and rate estimates.
• Ensure compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and release bid and purchase specifications for equipment needs from suppliers.
• Troubleshoot current production issues related to quality, safety, and repeatability.
• Develop and implement work-arounds and maintain configuration of hardware and documentation.
• Perform studies and make recommendations for disposition of assets.

Job description

This posting is for a contract assignment and is not a full-time employment offer with Boeing. Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved 3rd party for the duration of the specified project.

Primary Responsibilities

• Evaluate program and project requirements, develop complex equipment concepts and design solutions for the Production System.
• Compile and analyze technical data to determine the effects on product engineering design, usability, and rate estimates.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience)

• Bachelor degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (ABET is a preferred, although not required, accreditation standard)
