Job summary

Alta Equipment Group, the largest equipment dealer in North America, seeks a full-time Sales & Rental Coordinator for Jacksonville, FL. You will provide admin support to Sales/Rental teams, manage quotes and orders, and coordinate equipment transfers across Jacksonville, Tallahassee, and Lake City locations.

The role emphasizes data integrity in CRM/ERP, strong communication, and collaboration with Credit, Accounting, Service, and Operations to ensure smooth transactions.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in business administration, Sales/Rental, Marketing, or related field preferred.
• Two or more years of experience in Sales/Rental support, customer service, business operations, or related role.
• Experience working with CRM, ERP, or other business systems preferred.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Upbeat & positive attitude.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of construction equipment, JCB products, or similar industry.
• Good computer skills with Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Language Skills - ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Reasoning Ability - intermediate; apply common sense in instructions.
• Computer Skills - Word, Excel, Outlook and Epicor/SILK systems.

Responsibilities

• Sales/Rental Support: provide day-to-day admin support to Sales/Rental teams; help prepare quotes and proposals; coordinate equipment availability and inventory inquiries; act as primary internal contact for orders and transactions; support onboarding and account setup.
• Transaction Management: create and process orders and PO documents; ensure documentation is complete; coordinate with Credit, Accounting, Service, and Operations; monitor status and update stakeholders; assist invoicing and reconciliation.
• Reporting and Data Management: maintain customer, equipment, and transaction records in CRM/ERP; support data quality and governance; track manufacturer programs and discounts.
• Customer Service and Communication: provide responsive support to customers and internal partners; coordinate cross-department communication to resolve issues; maintain professionalism and customer satisfaction; escalate issues when needed.
