Job summary

Alta Equipment Group, North America's largest equipment dealer, is seeking a full-time Sales & Rental Coordinator at our Tampa, FL location to support the Sales/Rental organization with quotes, orders, and data management.

The role emphasizes CRM/ERP-driven administration, inventory coordination, and customer onboarding, requiring 2+ years in Sales/Rental support and strong communication skills. A comprehensive benefits package and training are provided.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in business administration, Sales/Rental, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
• Two or more years of experience in Sales/Rental support, customer service, business operations, or a related role.
• Experience working with CRM, ERP, or other business systems preferred.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Upbeat and positive attitude.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills — both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of construction equipment, JCB products, or similar industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Language skills to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
• Reasoning ability — intermediate; problem-solving and instruction interpretation.
• Experience with Epicor/SILK systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day administrative support to assigned Sales/Rental representatives and Sales/Rental managers.
• Assist with the preparation of equipment quotes, proposals, and Sales/Rental documentation.
• Coordinate equipment availability, transfers, and inventory inquiries.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for internal inquiries related to customer orders and Sales/Rental transactions.
• Support customer onboarding and account setup activities.
• Create and process Sales/Rental orders, purchase orders, and related transaction documents.
• Ensure all required documentation is complete and accurately maintained.
• Coordinate with Credit, Accounting, Service, and Operations teams to facilitate transaction completion.
• Monitor order status and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Assist with invoicing and documentation reconciliation activities.
• Maintain accurate customer, equipment, and transaction records within CRM and ERP systems.
• Support data quality and governance initiatives by ensuring timely and accurate system updates.
• Assist with tracking manufacturer programs, incentives, and discounts.
• Provide responsive support to customers and internal business partners.
• Coordinate communication between departments to resolve transaction issues efficiently.
• Ensure a high level of professionalism and customer satisfaction throughout the Sales/Rental process.
• Escalate issues when necessary and help facilitate timely resolution.
