Job summary

Worley is seeking a Superintendent - Equipment/Rigging to lead on-site activities for equipment installation and rigging on industrial construction projects in Bastrop, TX. The role drives safety, quality, and schedule adherence while coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractors.

You will oversee lift planning, heavy haul operations, and rigging execution, ensuring alignment with project objectives and Worley’s sustainable project delivery goals.

Qualifications

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline, or a trade qualification with leadership experience.
• Proven experience supervising equipment installation, heavy lift, and rigging in large projects.
• Strong knowledge of lift planning, rigging practices, and crane operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead equipment installation, rigging, heavy haul, and lifting activities to meet schedules and budgets.
• Promote safety culture and ensure compliance with ESG and quality requirements.
• Coordinate field administration, procurement, subcontractors, and field engineering.
• Act as primary site contact for equipment installation and rigging execution.
• Provide leadership and technical guidance to supervisors, riggers, crane operators, and crews.
• Manage lift planning, equipment setting strategies, and critical lift reviews.
• Monitor progress, evaluate performance, and implement corrective actions.
• Support sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement across projects.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, logistics, and construction teams to optimize workflows.
