Job summary

Worley is seeking a Superintendent - Mechanical/Piping for our Bastrop, TX project to lead on-site mechanical and piping construction activities. You will coordinate field operations, supervise multidisciplinary teams, and drive a culture of safety, quality, and collaboration to achieve project objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline, or a trade qualification with extensive leadership experience.
• Proven experience supervising mechanical and piping construction projects and leading field execution teams in industrial or large-scale environments.
• Strong knowledge of piping systems, mechanical equipment installation, field engineering practices, and construction management principles.
• Demonstrated ability to manage construction schedules, workforce planning, productivity improvement, and resource allocation.
• Experience overseeing mechanical equipment installation, piping fabrication and erection, hydrotesting, turnover, and pre-commissioning.
• Experience building collaborative relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, inspectors, and multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site mechanical and piping construction activities, ensuring safety, efficiency, and alignment with schedules and budgets.
• Drive a proactive safety culture by enforcing health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
• Integrate field administration, procurement coordination, subcontractor management, and field engineering to support project objectives.
• Serve as primary site contact, fostering clear communication among project teams, customers, contractors, and suppliers.
• Provide leadership and technical guidance to construction personnel and subcontractors, promoting collaboration and accountability.
• Monitor progress, assess performance, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
• Identify opportunities to incorporate sustainable solutions into project delivery and improve environmental performance.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, commissioning, and management teams to optimize workflows.
• Manage workforce planning, productivity, and resource allocation for efficient labor and equipment use.
• Ensure installation activities comply with project specs, codes, and safety procedures.
• Oversee piping fabrication, equipment installation, testing, turnover, and completion activities.
• Prepare progress reports and forecasts for leadership and stakeholders.
• Resolve field challenges with practical solutions aligned to project objectives.
• Promote an inclusive, respectful work environment and continuous improvement.
