Job summary

Milton Rents is seeking a driven Business Development Representative in the New England area. You’ll use industry databases, CRM tools, and proactive outreach to win new business, reactivate accounts, and expand rental opportunities.

This is a performance-driven role with base pay plus commission and full benefits. The ideal candidate will have prior inside/outside sales or business development experience, strong communication skills, and a self-starting, competitive mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience in inside/outside sales or business development is required.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
• Self-starter with a competitive, results-driven mindset.
• Proficiency with CRM, Microsoft Office, and basic computer tools.
• Experience in construction or equipment rental is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop new customer relationships through outbound sales efforts.
• Make 30-50+ outbound calls daily to identify rental opportunities.
• Generate new business and reactivate inactive accounts.
• Promote additional equipment, products, and services to increase customer accounts.
• Manage inbound web and media-generated leads.
• Maintain accurate customer, lead, and opportunity records in CRM.
• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and identify future rental needs.
• Research upcoming construction projects and market opportunities.
• Collaborate with the sales team to achieve growth goals.
• Attend trade shows and Association networking events.
• Build strong customer relationships through outstanding service and problem-solving
