Job summary

Thompson Tractor is seeking a Rental Coordinator to manage equipment rentals for assigned areas, working with customers, prospects, and sales reps. Independent work with limited supervision is required, with emphasis on multitasking, initiative, and strong customer service.

Responsibilities include coordinating inspections, preparing equipment, tracking inventory, arranging transportation, and ensuring accurate paperwork and billing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in the material handling industry is advantageous.
• Proficiency with personal computers and basic typing skills.

Responsibilities

• Track inventory of machines, batteries, and attachments.
• Coordinate inspections and prep before delivery and after return with Service Department.
• Communicate rental rates, availability, and terms to customers and sales reps.
• Obtain credit approval before processing rentals or releasing equipment.
• Ensure all documents are completed and signed by customers.
• Set up rental agreements and update computer system as needed.
• Submit paperwork to Accounting promptly.
• Arrange inbound/outbound transportation for equipment.
• Monitor repairs and maintenance expenses.
• Ensure billing/credit adjustments are processed accurately and timely.
• Resolve customer complaints fairly.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
