Thompson Tractor Company, Inc. in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Specialist to support safe and efficient movement, inspection, and documentation of rental and new equipment.

This entry-level role involves loading/offloading equipment, completing rental return check-ins, recording hours, fueling, and DEF as needed; and helping prepare gear for new rentals. A valid driver’s license is required; prior Power Rental experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior Power Rental industry experience preferred but not required.
• Experience using personal computers and basic typing skills required.

Mansioni

• Follows basic safe machine operation.
• Receives and offloads new equipment and distribution gear safely.
• Offloads rental units returning from rent and loads units going out on rent.
• Completes rental return check-ins, including equipment inspection, recording hours, fueling and DEF as needed, and documenting damage or concerns.
• Performs pre-delivery inspections and check-out procedures for equipment going on new rentals.
• Washes and cleans rental equipment; maintains an organized yard and warehouse.
• Pulls, sorts, and organizes rental inventory such as cable, event gear, and distribution equipment.
• Inspects items for damage and performs minor repairs or identifies items for removal from service or scrap.
• Runs and processes inventory reports and assists with periodic physical inventory counts and audits.
