Job summary

Komatsu is seeking a highly organized Rental Coordinator to oversee end-to-end equipment rental processes across multiple branch locations. You will generate rental orders, coordinate fulfillment, and manage returns to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with company policies.

Based in Hatfield, Harrisburg, Wilkes-Barre, or State College, PA, the role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with internal teams and external customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some college or technical training preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment knowledge is beneficial.
• Excellent communication, comprehension, and analytical abilities are essential.
• Proven customer service skills with a proactive problem-solving approach.

Responsibilities

• Accommodate phone and walk-in customers to generate rental orders in a courteous, professional manner.
• Supervise yard coordinators to ensure policy compliance and efficient rental fulfillment and returns.
• Generate rental contracts, verify account status, insurance, and credit; revise as needed and prepare for invoicing.
• Process equipment requests by matching inventory with customer needs and prioritizing requests.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts as required.
• Ensure recovery of damages, fuel, freight, and related expenses meets company goals.
• Coordinate repair and maintenance with service department to maximize equipment availability.
• Arrange equipment transportation to meet delivery commitments cost-effectively.
• Suggest inventory levels aligned with local needs and coordinate with Inventory/Procurement teams.
• Assist Credit Department in collection of rental receivables and COIs.
