Job summary

Warren Equipment Company is seeking an Equipment Rental Specialist to support rental operations and ensure customers have a positive rental experience. The role involves coordinating pickups/deliveries, creating rental contracts, and collaborating across departments to complete paperwork accurately.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience in transportation/rental industry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving, customer service and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret general business material and regulations.
• Ability to write reports and business communications.
• Ability to present information clearly to groups of stakeholders.
• Proficient with basic PC skills including spreadsheets and databases.

Responsibilities

• Complete rental transactions and coordinate pickup/delivery of rental units.
• Enter all required information related to rentals accurately.
• Consult with customers to determine rental rates, develop contracts, and arrange transportation.
• Recommend products and services to customers.
• Prepare and assist with rental quotes.
• Collaborate with rental staff, transportation, credit, and service teams to finalize paperwork.
• Create, edit, invoice, and close rental agreements using WCAT rental software.
• Monitor inventory counts and resolve discrepancies.
• Seek out-of-the-box solutions when needed.
• Obtain credit PO requirements from internal credit department as needed.
• Ensure COD and CAT Commercial accounts are collected and maintained during rental periods.
• Transfer and track equipment between stores as needed.
• Follow check-in/check-out procedures for equipment yard.
• Document lost rentals from customers and sales reps.
• Perform cold calls to potential rental customers.
• Invoice rental costs such as fuel, maintenance, damage, and transportation.
• Instruct customers on safe use of equipment.
• Maintain a positive customer-service mindset.
• Respond promptly to incoming calls and voicemails.
• Adhere to company policies and safety procedures.
