Job summary

Tokyo Electron America, Inc. is seeking an equipment engineer to evaluate and select manufacturing equipment, oversee installation and maintenance, and maintain documentation on notices, upgrades, and safety issues. You will study equipment reliability and establish uptime improvement programs.

The role provides technical support to repair and process engineering groups and requires a strong background in preventative maintenance planning and equipment performance analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of related experience.
• Master's Degree without experience.
• Associate Degree with 6 years of related experience.
• 10 years of experience in lieu of degree.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, selects and orders equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products.
• Oversees the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
• Maintains current records on equipment manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades and safety issues.
• Studies equipment performance and reliability.
• Establishes programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process.
• Provides technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations.
• Defines and writes preventative maintenance schedules.
