Job summary

MPW Industrial Services seeks a Project Coordinator to lead capital equipment projects from design through construction, testing, and customer-site integration. You will work between Production and Engineering, supervise field activities, and ensure quality throughout installation, upgrades, and maintenance.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, strong mechanical knowledge, and excellent communication with customers and internal teams. On-site coordination and travel are part of the job.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in equipment design reviews to identify issues and opportunities for more effective and efficient equipment construction.
  • Oversee assigned projects from design release through construction, testing, and customer-site installation when applicable.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Production and Engineering for mechanical, electrical, and subassembly requirements during construction.
  • Work hands-on alongside Fabricators when not participating in design reviews, coordinating with engineers, or performing field service responsibilities.
  • Maintain quality-control standards throughout equipment construction, upgrades, repairs, and final preparation.
  • Create work activity lists and required parts lists for equipment upgrades, repairs, installations, and other assigned projects.
  • Ensure projects follow company procedures, certification requirements, labeling standards, and required documentation.
  • Coordinate with material planning and inventory teams to ensure components needed for assigned projects are properly managed.
  • Monitor construction schedules and maintain applicable charts, project boards, and Water Management Console information.
  • Review completed equipment to identify issues and verify overall correctness before shipment to the customer.
  • Coordinate customer-site training requirements necessary for installation crews to gain access and complete assigned work.
  • Communicate directly with customer-site contacts throughout installations, upgrades, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Manage the Install Trailer, including required parts lists, organization at customer sites, and return coordination with Inventory for restocking.
  • Manage workforce hours based on available site work, project requirements, and delays encountered during field activities.
  • Maintain daily site logs and provide progression updates documenting installation status and project activity.
  • Complete required pre-installation, performance evaluation, site visit, and post-job documentation.
  • Coordinate post-project meetings to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and future project performance.
