Job summary

Toyota North America seeks an Equipment and Process Engineer for the Body Weld Pilot Department. You will evaluate body designs, assess equipment specifications, and coordinate cross-functional projects to improve safety, quality and productivity across Toyota manufacturing operations.

This role requires a Bachelor’s degree, manufacturing experience, and the ability to travel up to 25%. You will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to meet KPIs and ensure smooth handovers to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Applied Engineering.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment (co-op/intern or fulltime position).
• Experience in equipment specifications, design, install and validation.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration within Body Weld.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate body design of new models to reduce safety risk and improve quality and manufacturability.
• Evaluate equipment design specs to meet human design standards and productivity.
• Communicate project status to Manager and external vendors regularly.
• Manage projects with Production, Maintenance, Internal Logistics, PE/SE, and QE groups.
• Coordinate budgets, scheduling, installation and handover to Production.
• Facilitate problem-solving during planning, setup and trials; support Production as needed.
• Support FSR Study & ECI and resolve field issues with countermeasures.
